A 15-year-old high school student from Alabama who jumped to her death from an interstate overpass complained of bullying at school and never got over the death of her sister in a freak accident

Alex Moore was having a hard time at school.She was teased, bullied on the school bus and some boys were “messing with her stuff”.  She was overweight, she didn’t have a lot of friends and wasn’t in the ‘in’ clique.”

My analysis:

Being overweight and a loner makes her vulnerable to being bullied  Those  who conduct anti-bullying workshops have to work at countering negative stereotypes about obesity.

My book explains what makes a person more likely to be targeted by the bullies.  If you know what these are, you can make changes.

Bullies target loners because they are unprotected.  So never be alone. Don’t make yourself an easy target for bullies. If Alex Moore  keep herself fit and learn to make friends, she might not have lost her life.
